Banihal accident toll rises to 9

RAMBAN, Feb 14: Two more workers of Border Roads Organization (BRO) succumbed to their injuries taking the toll to nine persons.
As per police sources, two more BRO workers identified as Jan Mohammad Ramzan (50), son of Ahad Hajam and Shakir Hussan (23), son of Mohammad Yousuf Naik, both residents of Tethar succumbed to their injuries in a hospital at Srinagar.
With the death of two more BRO workers, the death toll in the accident, that happened yesterday evening at Chamalwas on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Banihal tehsil rose to nine.
Apart from this, one of the injured admitted in Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal namely Mushtaq Ahmed (28), son of Gulam Mohammad Wani of Tethar was discharged today.
It is to mention that, seven workers of BRO were killed and eight others sustained serious injuries when the tipper, they were traveling in, skidded off the road and plunged into deep gorge near Chamalwas on Jammu-Srinagar National Hig-hway in Banihal tehsil yesterday evening.
