RAJOURI, Feb 24:   The people from Nowshera, Sunderbani  and Kalakote today observed complete bandh  and held protest demonstration against the State Government, projecting demand  of creating Additional Deputy Commis-sioner’s posts at these places.
While the township of Nowshera observed complete bandh on 9th consecutive day, Sunderbani town remained closed even on the second day, whereas, at Kalakote town it was first day of the bandh and protest.
In Sunderbani town, where angry mob had ‘gheraoed’ the BJP Ministers on Friday, the people again held protest demonstration and also took out a protest rally against the Government. They moved towards the National Highway and stalled movement of vehicles on the highway for a brief period but the heavy deployment of  police and para-military force prevented them in doing so. Later, they moved towards the main market in the shape of a rally which culminated at the Tehsil office complex. All the shops and other business   establishments remained closed during the day.
At Kalakote, the people held brief protest  and then dispersed. The vehicles remained off the road and market was closed. Some local youth  and members of Beopar Mandal  also held brief protest demonstration in support of their demand. They demanded that Kalakote Sub Division was largest with 70 Panchayats  while Nowshera has 36, whereas,  Sunderbani was at number three with 28 Panchayats.  They said that Kalakote deserved fair treatment by the Government.
Minister for  Sheep and Animal Husbandry  AG Kohli  visited the town during the day today in connection with a programme but he had to face the wrath of people who raised slogans against BJP and him. The people alleged that he has failed to provide justice to the people of this area.
Nowshera town observed complete bandh on the 9th consecutive day. The people despite rain and bad weather,   held protest demonstration and staged dharna at the venue in Tehsil complex.  They said that their indefinite agitation will continue till their demand is addressed by the Government.
