Ban bursting of crackers

I
Sir,
The auspicious festival of “Diwali-Deepawali” is drawing near and the devotees are very eagerly waiting to celebrate this festival with enthusiasm and fervour.
Most of the devotees celebrate this auspicious festival by way of burning crackers etc. but as a citizen and a devotee I suggest my co-citizens and co-devotees to celebrate this august festival in a simple but impressive way i.e. by lighting candles, earthen pots-Rattan Deeps, electric lights and by avoiding bursting crackers etc which creates environmental pollution.
Millions of rupees are spent on bursting crackers etc on this occasion. How better it would be, if this huge amount is saved and donated to Prime Minister/Chief Minister(s) Welfare Fund (s) to help the needy, poor and to construct/establish schools and hospital and other welfare schemes for the orphans, poor and downtrodden peoples of the Nation/respective States. We see many people mostly children get injured while bursting crackers and instead of celebrating Diwali their families and relatives etc. have to attend hospitals. Besides, there are apprehension that some anti-national elements may take undue advantage while bursting crackers.
I request both the Central and the State Govts to impose blanket bank on sale and purchase of crackers and do appeal my fellow devotees to celebrate this day in simple but impressive way.
Yours etc…

Sir,
“Diwali”, the festival of lights is on its way.It is the time to celebrate and pray for happiness of one and all.Candles, sweets and gifts fill this festive  occasion with joy for  everyone. But yet there is something which when used excessively becomes a health hazard and threat to our environment. Yes, its the excessive burning of  crackers which I am refering  to.The pollution caused by crackers is harmful as it increases the concentration of harmful chemicals along with carbon monoxide in the atmosphere. .Small children and old people are the worst sufferes.we can celebrate the festival by saying’ NO’ to crackers and can preserve its sanctity by making it blissful for everyone.Let us take a pledge to celebrate the coming “Diwali”festival safely by excluding  crackers but including attributes of love, compassion and tolerance in our life.We as the devotees of Lord” Ram” who showed the path of preservation of humanity  and not its destruction must protect and preserve our environment considering it as our bounden duty.
Yours etc……
