Balwant Thakur to represent India in China folk festival

JAMMU, July 29: Regional Director ICCR Jammu, Balwant Thakur, has been nominated to participate 10th China International Folk art festival being held in Xining – the capital of Qinghai province of China from August 8 to 13, 2016.
Balwant Thakur will represent India in this world’s most sought after International festival of folk arts which attracts artists from all over the globe.
There will be three major events during the festival. Chinese and foreign-art troupes will be divided into three groups and embarked on a two day tour around Xining on August, 9. The closing ceremony of this world event will be held at Xining Folk Stage on August 12, 2016.
