Bali pays surprise visit, orders suspension of medico

JAMMU, Mar 4:  Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat paid surprise visit to G B Pant Cantonment Hospital and Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital here today and took stock of the functioning of these health institutions.
During the inspection of Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital at Gangyal, the Minister found one Dr Tania Nazir on unauthorized absence from duty and ordered her suspension. He called upon the doctors and paramedics to improve work culture, maintain punctuality and provide best medicare to the patients. He issued specific instructions to the Medical Superintendent, Dr Neeta Singh to ensure proper sanitation in and around the hospital.
At G B Pant Hospital, the Minister took round of different sections, wards and interacted with the doctors and paramedics. He also enquired about the staff position, availability of services and rush of patients.
Dr Gaurav Kesar, Sub-charge G B Pant Hospital briefed the Minister about the overall functioning of the institution and facilities available for the patients.
