JAMMU, Dec 3: Health Minister Bali Bhagat today launched the brochure of National Dental Conference-2017 to be organized on 16th and 17th of December at Brig Rajinder Singh auditorium, University of Jammu.
A team of Indian Dental Association comprising Dr Gautam Sharma, Dr Rajiv Mengi, Dr Bhupinder Singh and Dr Aayush Sharma met Health Minister at Jammu today and apprised him about the details of dental conference. They requested the Minister to carve out a separate directorate of dental health in J&K so that the issues faced by dentists can be sorted out easily as well as employment opportunities can be created for unemployed dentists in the State.
This scientific national dental conference is being organized by Indian Dental Association in collaboration with Health Centre, University of Jammu, Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) and Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), Sehora.
Various speakers of national and international repute will be conducting lectures and practical hand-on during the conference. Dr Dimple Padawe, Dr Cyrus Karkaria, Dr Vishal Kabre, Dr Rohit Punga, Dr Abhi-shek Mahajan and Dr Aman Sachdeva will be the speakers of the conference.
They will apprise the audiences about dental implants, TMJ disorders, Pedo-endo problems, serial extractions, dental photography and many other issues faced by dentists while treating a patient. Dr Rom-esh Singh, Principal IGGDC, Dr RK Suri, Chairman, IDS Sehora and Dr Riyaz Farooq, Principal GDC Srinagar are patrons of the conference.
There will be a poster presentation and top three posters will be awarded cash rewards and certificates of appreciation. Trade fair by many reputed dental companies will also be organized along with the national conference. A grand banquet will be organized in the evening of 17th December.
