Bali interacts with party workers

JAMMU, Apr 15: Various delegations and party activists called on Minister of Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat at Party Headquarters here at Trikuta Nagar today and apprised him of the problems faced by the people.
In order to enable the party men to meet various ministers so that they don’t have to go to the Civil Secretariat, the party has started the practice of interaction at the Party office. Large number of karyakartas met the Minister to discuss issues pertaining to their respective areas.
A delegation from Akhnoor led by Suresh Sharma, State secretary BJP apprised the Minister about the medical facilities in the area of Akhnoor Tehsil. The Minister was told that there is shortage of doctors and para medical staff that is affecting the quality of health care in the area. The attention of the Minister was also drawn to the fact that the X-Ray machine in PHC MeraMandrian has been lying defunct for more than three years and also no X-Ray technician has been posted.
The Minister assured that the machine would be repaired and installed in a time bound manner and the technician will be posted immediately. He also promised to make up the short fall of doctors and para medical staff.
Another delegation led by Rajinder Singh Chib, president KissanMorcha discussed with the Minister issues pertaining to health care in the Tawi area of Suanjana, Mandal Phalain and GhoManhasan. The Minister assured them that all their grievances would be addressed since the Government is committed to provide best ever health care to all citizens of the State. He also enumerated the various measures taken by his Ministry to achieve this purpose that includes filling up of vacant posts, promotions, advertisement of 300 class IV posts in GMC Jammu, upgradation of infrastructure across the State in various hospitals and dispensaries, improvement in hygiene conditions by outsourcing to Sulabh International, upgradation of laboratories and construction of hostels.
A few needy people approached the Minister for seeking assistance for treatment in different hospitals. Necessary instructions were issued by the Minister to concerned medical authorities for same.
The Minister was assisted by Munish Sharma, State MorchaPrabhari and vice chairman JAKFED and Brig (retd) Anil Gupta, State spokesperson.
