Balbir seeks information about loan cases of Srinagar district

SRINAGAR, June 7:  The Srinagar district has so far cleared 35 loan cases under Bank Tie-Up Scheme against the fixed target of 110 during first quarter and the district team is working towards achieving the target well before the deadline.
This was briefed to the Vice-Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, Balbir Ram Rattan, by Corporation’s Srinagar district Manager, Arif Haleem Khan in a meeting at District Office, here today.
The Vice-Chairperson was told that under Bank Tie-Up Scheme, the Corporation received the loan applications from the beneficiaries and after processing, the same are recommended to banks under ‘Service Area Approach’. The bank conducts pre-sanction survey and finally sanctions loan in favour of the applicant. The Corporation on getting intimation of the sanction, releases subsidy and transfers directly into one’s account.
During the current financial year, the Srinagar district has cleared 35 cases of the beneficiaries from Backward Class category under the said scheme, the Vice-Chairperson of the Corporation was informed.
Balbir Ram Rattan, while speaking in the meeting, said that each district has to achieve the given target not only of bank tie-up but Direct Financing Scheme as well. He said that every effort should be made to ensure that whosoever applies for loan, is not made to take round of the Corporation Office. Our officials should treat them in a dignified manner, the Vice-Chairperson added.
He said Modi as well as State Government is particular for the welfare of weaker sections of the Society and it has  launched many welfare schemes for the upliftment and betterment of these people as the Mantra of Prime Minister is Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas. He appealed the people to take full advantage of these schemes.
