JAMMU, Apr 10: Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, Vice Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, today held a meeting with National Scheduled Castes Finance & Development Corporation (NSFDC) Chairman cum Managing Director (CMD), Shyam Kapoor, at Delhi Head Office.
The Vice Chairperson presented a 23 minutes documentary film containing the success stories of J&K, SC, ST, BC Development Corporation, wherein the loan beneficiaries have expressed their views on the financial assistance provided to them to set up their own earning units, many of them claiming that they are not only in a position to have a satisfactory income but also providing employment to others.
The Vice Chairperson also discussed the working of the J&K, SC, ST, BC Development Corporation Limited, with the Chairman cum Managing Director and informed him that during the last over eight months he himself has been going to different areas of the State in order to have physical verification of the loaned units and also to motivate the unemployed youth of the weaker sections to avail the benefits of the welfare schemes meant for the socio-economic upliftment of the members of the target groups.
CMD, Shyam Kapoor, on this occasion, stressed upon the Vice Chairperson to conduct more massive awareness camps in small cities and towns so that the Corporation schemes reach the remote and far flung areas of all the three regions of the State and the genuinely deserving unemployed people are benefitted.
Balbir who is presently in Union Capital yesterday attended the first ever meeting of Guru Ravidass Vishva Mahapeeth which was chaired by its national president Dushyant Kumar Gautam.
Sant Satinder Heeraji Maharaj graced the occasion as Peethadeeshwar of Guru Ravidass Vishav Mahapeeth.
Balbir is the national secretary of the organisation. The other office bearers from other states of country were also present in the meeting.
