JAMMU, Mar 14: The newly appointed Vice Chairman of Jammu Kashmir State Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation and former spokesman of BJP, Balbir Ram today said that he will try his best to serve the society and the people of down-trodden classes.
While addressing a function of party activists organised in connection of his appointment as VC of the Corporation Balbir Ram said that he will try his best to come to the expectation of his Party and the Government which entrusted the responsibility to him.
He said that his task would be to deliver justice and make people feel that the SC, ST, OBC Corporation is friendly to the needy and the poor. He sought the cooperation of Corporation staff so that it can serve the people more efficiently.

expressed confidence that Balbair Ram having his long career in BJP and public dealing will achieve success in further vitalizing the activities of the Corporation and fulfil his responsibility with great vigour and serve the community with best of his efforts. He said BJP has many expectations from him.
Former State president of the Party and MLC Ashok Khajuria said Balbir was the right choice for the post as he has a vast experience of serving the Party and dealing with people. “I am confident that he will take the Government’s beneficial schemes to the deserving people of downtrodden and Backward classes.
The function among others was attended by Rajya Sabha MP Shamsher Singh Manhas, MLC Ashok Khajuria, MLAs Rajesh Gupta, Kuldeep Kumar and Dr. Devinder Manyal, BJP State vice-presidents Yudhvir Sethi and Rajni Sethi, State general secretary Pawan Khajuria, State secretaries Sanjay Baru and Aseem Gupta, State spokespersons Prof. Virender Gupta, Brig. Anil Gupta, S.S. Bijral and Arun Kumar Gupta, Jammu district president Baldev Singh Billawaria, Jammu West district president Ayodhya Gupta, Mahila Morcha district president Rekha Mahajan and other senior leaders.
Later Balbir Ram was taken into a procession to Corporation Office Last Morh Gandhi Nagar by BJP activists to assume the office. On the occasion Corporation Managing Director, R K Pandita was also present.
