JAMMU, Oct 19: NC MLC and former Chief Secretary, Vijay Bakaya today inaugurated electric transformer and street lights in Shiv Dass Colony Anand Nagar Tomal.
Mr Bakaya released Rs 4.42 lakh for transformer and Rs 67,000 for street lights in the area. He also arranged Rs 4 lakh for laying of water pipes in the Colony for improving drinking water facilities to the people.
A function was held in the colony which was also addressed by Vijay Raina secretary Resid-ents Welfare Association of the Colony.
Mr Bakaya assured the residents that all their problems will be redressed and all efforts made to develop the area.
He was accompanied by M K Yogi, Balji Bhat, Ramesh Bharti and Amit Koul. The welcome address was made by Shambo Nath Koul. Subash Shrma president of the Association also spoke on the occasion.
