Bail denied in rape case

JAMMU, Feb 20: Chief Judicial Magistrate Reasi Kamlesh Pandita today rejected the bail application of one Baljeet Singh, son of Sadhu Ram of Mahore, who was allegedly involved in kidnapping and rape with minor.
After hearing both the sides, the CJM observed, “the reputation of a woman, needless to emphasize, is the richest jewel, one can conceive in life. No one would allow it to be extinguished”.
“When a woman frame is defiled the purest treasure is lost. Dignity of a woman is a part of her non perishable and immortal self and no one should ever think of painting it in clay. There cannot be a compromise or settlement as it would be against her honour which matters the most”, the court said, adding “no member of a society can afford to conceive the idea that can create hollow in the honour of a woman”.
“The sexual molestation of minor is not only lamentable but also deplorable”, the court said while rejecting the bail application.
