BABAYN holds meeting with langar organizations

JAMMU, Feb 3: A meeting of the Langar organisations who are associates of Baba Amarnath & Buda Amarnath Yatri Niyas was held which was presided over by Jagdish Dogra, president of Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS) Jammu here, today regarding the coming annual pilgrimage of Baba  Amarnath Ji, who provide free Langar to the yatris.
Langar organisations from State of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jaipur, Uttarakhand including J&K participated in the meeting in which various issues were discussed to find out the ways and means how the facilities to the pilgrims visiting the sacred shrine of Baba Shri Amarnath Ji will be improved.
During this meeting, senior members of BABA Yatri Niyas who were also present listened to the grievances of the representatives of the langar organisations about the difficulties which are being faced by them at the hands of the administration in establishing their langars.
It was assured to the members of langar organisations that BABA Yatri Niyas will try to act as a bridge between the local administration and these organisations to sort out the shortcomings if any, before the commencement of this year’s yatra.
Representatives of Niyas also discussed the decision of SASB regarding reduction in the duration of yatra with the representatives of these organizations from two months to 44 days.
The other aspects discussed during the meeting included the arrangements to be made for the yatra purpose and the representatives of the langar organisations were asked to volunteer for help to educate the people who want to visit the shrine of Baba Amarnath Ji to register themselves for obtaining compulsory health certificate from the concerned authorities in their respective states which has been made mandatory from last year’s Yatra and also asked them to help people for obtaining this registration permit which has been revamped this time as High Security Yatra Permit (as per the statement made by SASB) to avoid any unnecessary harassment during the yatra.
The other who were present in the meeting included Dineshwar Singh Jamwal and  Bal Kishan Gupta.
