Awareness cum registration programme on ZED organized

JAMMU, Dec 27: An awareness cum registration programme on the implementation of ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) Scheme of Government of India was conducted at Bari Brahmana Industries Association in collaboration with Quality Council of India and District Industries Centre Jammu.
The programme was organized  under  the guidance of Director of Industries Jammu in presence of  Lalit Mahajan, president BBIA;   Suresh Mahajan, Sr. vice president,  Varun Singla vice president,  Ajay Langer, general secretary,  Vivek Singhal, secretary,  Viraaj Malhotra, treasurer BBIA,  A K  Khajuria, General Manger, DIC Jammu,  Amit Manhas, Project Manager,   Mohinder Sharma IPO  and other officers of DIC Jammu,
Lalit Mahajan, president, BBIA in his presidential remarks,   appreciated the steps taken by Government of India to adopt the Quality parameters for the manufacturing of goods with Zero Defects so that they have Zero recall from the market.
General Manager District Industries Centre Jammu also highlighted the benefits of the schemes and requested the Unit holders to get registered under the said scheme to create the awareness amongst the staff and workforce of the Units to manufacture the quality products.
While speaking on the occasion, Manik Gupta, Assistant Director (ZED), Quality Council of India, appreciated the steps by the BBIA to educate the industrial fraternity in respect of registration under ZED for Financial Support to MSME in Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) Certification Scheme and apprised industrialists about the scheme, which is aimed at enhancing the quality of products manufactured by MSME industries so that they can be globally competitive. He also highlighted various benefits to the unit holders under ZED Scheme.
A detailed Power Point presentation was also given.  During the registration process more than 90 MSME Units got registered under the said scheme.
