Attendants booked for manhandling medical staff at SDH Tral

SRINAGAR, July 23: Police today booked some attendants of a patient after they manhandled with the medical staff in Sub District Hospital Tral on Tuesday.
Sources said that some attendants had gone to a doctor to request him to fit the drip set to a patient after it developed some snag.
They said the doctor did not arrive to the ward and fix the problem, which enraged the attendants and they misbehaved and manhandled the doctor and other staff.
Embarrassed over the beating, the medical staff staged protests against the attendants.
Block Medical Officer Tral Dr Shakeel Ahmad told Excelsior said some attendants misbehaved with the hospital staff and the latter staged a protest.
He claimed they have resolved the matter amicably between the two aggrieved parties.
But, a police official at police station Tral told Excelsior they received a written complaint from the BMO and they have registered an FIR No.76 under Section 353 (attacking Government servant) against the attendants.
