Starting with attacks on showrooms of various cellular operators in the town of Sopore, the activities of these subversives have reached the city of Srinagar. On Friday last, militants carried out a series of attacks on cellular operatives because of whom these operatives have shut down the shutters of their shops. That is what the militants wanted them to do.
Attacks on communication towers and the cellular shops is not just madness/ there is a method in madness. The fact is that the widespread telecom system in the state has been very effective in monitoring the movement of the militants and intercepting their conversations, which the security forces utilize in analyzing the movements of the militants. That is the reason why they are threatening the people connected with telecom industry. In their attack in Sopore, two persons were killed and some wounded. At least they have succeeded in partially paralyzing the telecommunication system in the city of Srinagar and Sopore.
However, the police are not lying low on this development. It has started hunt for the culprits. We are hopeful that the police will get at the roots of this menace and that it will be uprooted.
