ATM with over Rs 8 lakh stolen

Srinagar, Nov 5: Unidentified robbers decamped with an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) containing over Rs 8 lakh cash in Pulwama district of South Kashmir during night hours.

The ATM, belonging to Punjab National Bank (PNB), was stolen from Rajpora Chowk area of Pulwama. Sources said the ATM was containing Rs. 8,24,100 and was taken away by robbers to an unidentified location without being intercepted by anyone.
In the morning, as soon as ATM was found missing, police rushed to the spot and launched an investigation into the matter. The police have also started a hunt to nab the robbers.
