ATCC starts hunger strike, seeks justice for Asifa Bano

JAMMU, Feb 3: Seeking justice for Asifa Bano, All Tribal Coordination Committee (ATCC) has started hunger strike, here today.
Talib Hussain, Chairman of ATCC while talking to media persons said that Government had failed to provide justice to Asifa Bano who was kidnapped, tortured, raped and murdered recently.
He also demanded enactment of Forest Right Act, CBI enquiry against Forest Minister viz his removal from Cabinet, retrieving of private and religious lands encouraged by land grabbers and Government, revoking of false cases registered against tribal, reservation in promotion and action against harassment of Muslim students outside State.
“We will continue our hunger strike if our demands particularly justice to Asifa Bano will be provided”, Hussain added.
Among others present were Nazakat Khatana, Rafaqat Aejaz, Wajad Khatana, Aslam Gorsi, Layaqat Ali, Ovais Thakkad, Mohammad Saleem, Er Choudhary Mohammad Ibrar and Mumtaz Khan.
