ATCC seeks action against officials responsible for Gole Gujral incident

JAMMU, Dec 6:  Newly formed All Tribal Coordination Committee (ATCC), a conglomerate of various organizations of nomadic communities, today strongly condemned the Gole Gujral incident and demanded action against the officers responsible for the incident.
While addressing a press conference, here today, chairman of the ATCC, Talib Hussain announced not to wear shoes till the Government concedes ATCC  demands, which include creation of the Forest Rights Act, removal of Choudhary Lal Singh as Forest Minister ,  job to each  nomad family whose land has been taken over for construction of AIMS,  release of all the innocent nomads  who have been falsely booked under PSA in Samba and Kathua districts and action against the Forest and JDA officials who are  involved in rendering nomads homeless.
Chairman Talib Hussain announced that ATCC has nominated  Nazakat Khatana as vice chairman, Anwar Phambra as Incharge, Rafaqat Ajaz as general secretary, Gaftar Ahmed as secretary, Haqnwaz Ch. and Ibrar Choudhary as media  incharge, Aslam Gorsi as Social Media Incharge and Imran Rashid and Jamat Ali as cashiers.
While highlighting the aims and objectives of ATCC, Talib Hussain said that communal forces were trying to destroy the Constitution of India, their identity, culture, ethnicity and right to life.  “ATCC will fight against communal forces and work for the unity among the religions,” he said and appealed Governor N N Vohra as well as Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to personally intervene in the matter to save the identity of nomads who are third largest population in the State.
