ASN School organizes Inter-School Debate Competition

JAMMU, Aug 16: The Management of ASN Hr Secondary School, Channi Himmat, Jammu today conducted Inter-School Debate Competition inside the school auditorium on the topic “How Independent are we: Is Independence restricted to only one day, are we really practicing Independence of Mindsets?”
Around 20 students from 9th to 12th classes of prominent schools participated in the event. The participating schools included ASN Hr Secondary School, Presentation Convent Sr Sec School, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Model Academy, BC Road, Jammu, Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, Lawrence Public School, Panjtirthi, Jammu, KB Public School, Channi Bye Pass, Tiny Tots Hr Sec School, Sainik Colony, Adarsh Shiksha Niketan School, Resham Ghar and United Public School, Channi Himmat.
Smita Sethi, Administrator GMCH, Jammu was the chief guest, while Shiv Kumar KPS, Commandant IRP-19th, RK Dhar, SSP (ACS), Dr AK Kapoor, Chairman Mount Litera Zee School, Tarore, Vijay Saraf, Secretary Amar Singh Club, Jammu were the guests of honour.
Jyoti Pachnanda, Bureau Chief Waqt News Channel was the adjudicator, while PB Kapoor, MD Adarsh Educational Trust and Trilok Bisht, Principal Jodhamal Public School, Channi Himmat, Jammu were present on the occasion.
The function started with presentation of bouquets to the distinguished guests, lighting of traditional lamp followed by the welcome address by Ritesh Kapoor, Administrator of the School.
Dhwani Mahajan of 10th class of Jammu Sanskriti School stood first, while Abhijot Singh Soodan of 11th class of ASN Hr Sec School, Channi Himmat stood second and Sanchita of 9th class of Presentation Convent Sr. Sec. School stood third where as consolation prizes went to Marusika of 9th class of Model Academy, B.C.Road and Nandini Sharma of 9th class of Presentation Convent Sr. Sec. School.
Vandana Trehan, Overall House Incharge of the school presented the vote of thanks.
