ASKPC accuses successive Govts of ignoring Pandits

JAMMU, Sept 27: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) has accused the successive Governments of ignoring the peace loving Kashmiri pundits since independence of the country.
In a statement issued here, today ASKPC president Advocate Ravinder Raina said that the terrorists supported by Pakistan and anti national elements in the Valley were responsible for mass exodus of the Pandits and the Governments at Delhi as well as State failed to frame a concrete policy on their return and rehabilitation in Valley.
Raina who addressed a meeting of displaced people said that Pandits have been put to many hardships during last 28 years of exile and their chances of return to their homeland Kashmir seem bleak in view of the policies of the Government.
Addressing the meeting T K Bhat general secretary of the ASKPC said the anti national outfits are supporting settlement of 40,000 Rohingyas in J&K but they are opposed to rehabilitation of displaced Pandits back in Valley who have been forced to leave Kashmir by terrorists.
He demanded construction of quarters for the migrants putting up in rented accommodations. He demanded settlement of Pandits at a single place in Valley and abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A of Indian Constitution so that the justice prevails to the nationalist people in the State.
R K Wangnoo, senior vice president, C L Bhat, vice president, Vena Gurtoo, president Women Wing, Ravi Raina president Youth Wing and B L Handoo addressed the meeting.
