CHANDIGARH, Feb 15: Aryans College of Pharmacy, Rajpura, near Chandigarh organized a seminar on “Drug Interaction & Medical Efficacy” at its campus, here. Janvi Dureja, Assistant Professor, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UPIS), Chandigarh was the guest speaker on the occasion.
The students of B. Pharmacy, D. Pharmacy, GNM, ANM, B.Sc (Agri), Diploma (Agri) etc attended the Seminar.
Prof BS Sidhu, Director, Aryans presided over the function.
Mrs Dureja while addressing the students said that drug interaction can be life-threatening and in severe cases can even lead to death.
She said the treatment by semi-qualified pharmaceutics should be avoided and the person should never get involved in self-medication as we are not aware of our body symptoms clearly.
She advised the people to stay away from drug addiction.
Prof BS Sidhu said that the concept and theory of drug Interaction need to be addressed very seriously and effectively and all the stakeholders need to contribute in this regard.
Dr Raman Rani Gupta, Director, Academics; Stephen Jawinda, Registrar; Kalindi Madaan, HoD, Pharmacy Department; Dhiraj Mehta, HoD Agri Department and Himanshi, HoD, Nursing Department were also present on the occasion.
