JAMMU, June 10: President of “French Club Jammu” and Guest Faculty of French Language, University of Jammu (JU), Arun Sharma, today launched his French Book “French Conjugation” at Press Cub in the presence of several dignitaries and members of French Club, Jammu.
Featuring easy to follow vocabulary lists, along with complete instruction on written and spoken grammar, the book is designed for inquisitive students of French language and provides them a platform to hone their French skills.
Former Minister and MLA, Choudhary Lal Singh, was the chief guest on the occasion and said such people who have the knowledge of foreign languages are an asset to the State. “Such authors who have immense knowledge of foreign languages can contribute a lot for the benefit of the people of the State”, he added.
Gaurav Gupta, Secretary, CCI, who was the guest of honor on the occasion, said that the book would be useful for the students who have opted for French at their schools. “French language has come as a boon for Indian students who wish to work in different fields including Tourism, Hospitality, Airlines among several others”, he added.
Baldev Singh Billawaria, district president, BJP, who was another guest of honor, said ‘being able to speak French will greatly benefit the students when it comes to getting jobs or when it comes for their career.
Harmee, vice president, French Club, said, “French is not only the language of love, it is the language of diplomacy, business, fashion and style. French language is not a threat to the local language rather an opportunity for highlighting our alluring culture and traditions to other nations in the form of literature”.
Brij Mohan (music composer) and Savita Gupta (guest of honor) also spoke on the occasion.
