Art & craft activities important for child’s over all development: Priya

JAMMU, Sept 24: Educational Technology Cell of State Institute of Education organized a 4-day workshop on Arts and Craft & Movie Making in Education and Preparation of Low Cost Teaching Aids at SIE Jammu.
Minister of State for Education, Culture and Information, Priya Sethi was chief guest at the valedictory function of the workshop.
The programme was organized under overall supervision of Joint Director (trgs)/Principal SIE Jammu H.R.Pakhroo.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister emphasized on overall development of children and their education. She added that art and craft activities are important for children at very young age and serve as a type of communication and way of expressing emotions. It helps children to gain self confidence and to learn through application of movie making related to educational aspects, social issues, domestic problems, environmental complexities and various other perspectives, she added.
The programme was co-ordinated by  Syed Imran Bukhari, R.O Incharge ET. Cell SIE Jammu and assisted by Kailash Kotwal, Veena Gupta and Akash Khajuria.  Whereas Charanpreet Kour and Parveen Akhtar acted as external Resource persons.
The proceedings of the valedictory function were conducted by Suresh Kumar Gouria, Research Officer,SIE Jammu.
