Political Secretary to Chief Minister Tanvir Sadiq awarding winners of Art Competition held at Srinagar on Saturday.

SRINAGAR, Apr 4: An Art Competition was organized for young orphans by loudbettle in at Nigeen Club.
On the occasion, Political Secretary to Chief Minister Tanvir Sadiq, was the chief guest, who while speaking said that Kashmir resonates with imageries rich cultural heritage, pluralistic ethos, unity, natural bounty, different eras, historical events and other issues relating to lifestyle of people and process of development have been artistically narrated by artists, painters, sculptors, poets and writers through their works, which are now taken as an important source of information.
Sadiq impressed upon the new generation to associate and relate themselves with their roots and origin.
He said such types of events would help young children’s to showcase their talent including the tradition of Art among new generation.
Sadiq said the built heritage indicates the skill-set, talent-pool and unique aesthetics of local artists and designers thereby reflecting a tacit relationship between common people and their sense of tradition and so needs to be showcased to the world.
Later, prizes were distributed among the winners.
Among others present were Nowshad Gayoor, Prof Shahid Ali Khan, Ahmer Khan, Organiser, Saima and team of Organizers.
