KATRA, Jan 22: The week-long Art Camp organised by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board for children at Spiritual Growth Centre, concluded here.
Dr. Piyush Singla and Dr. M. K. Kumar, Additional Chief Executive Officers, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, gave away prizes to the participants of the Art Camp whose paintings and sculptures were adjudged best.
They include K. Priyadarshan, who got first prize; Vaishnavi Sharma, second prize; Karanjeet, third prize and Ankit was awarded consolation prize. All other participants of the Art Camp were given certificates and mementos at the concluding function.
Hem Kant Prasher, Chief Accounts Officer; Pankaj Gupta, Devinder Singh Bhau, Amit Vermani and Dr. Arvind Karwani, Dy. CEOs; Rajinder Singh, Officer on Special Duty, Revenue, SMVDSB, other officers and staff of the Shrine Board were present on the occasion.
Twenty-five children from Katra and its surrounding areas participated in the Art Camp in which they were imparted training in the techniques of painting in oil and water colours as well as making crafts, sculptures and models by Shiv Shankar Sharma, Artist of the Shrine Board.
