UDHAMPUR, Aug 20: Arrangements for the smooth conduct of 3-day Annual Sankri Devta Mela- commencing from August 30 at Panchari block of district Udhampur, were discussed here today in a meeting of district officers and prominent citizens held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Angrez Singh Rana.
Detailed discussions were held on crucial arrangements including security, sanitation, health care, transport, traffic management, drinking water and power supply, checking of rates of important commodities etc.
While addressing the meeting, the ADC directed all the district officers to work in coordination for putting in place all the necessary arrangements well before the commencement of the Mela . He asked the officers to install stalls of their respective departments for generating awareness among the people regarding various Government schemes.
Tehsildar Panchari was appointed as the Mela Officer.
