Around 45 educated J&K youth joining RSS online every month

JAMMU, Mar 27: In Jammu and Kashmir, about 45 educated youth are joining Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), every month through on online facility in this regard while more than 1600 youth from each province (Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh) have joined RSS in the last three years.
This was disclosed by Prant Karywah, Parshotam Dadiechi, while addressing a joint press conference along with J&K Sanghchalak, Brig Suchet Singh, at Veer Bhawan ( RSS headquarters), here today.
Giving details of Sangh working in J&K, Dadiechi informed that as on date there are 279 RSS Shakhas at 180 places in addition to 110 weekly Milan and 76 monthly Mandlies in the State.
At all India level, he added, there are 57,185 Shakhas being run at 36729 places, and the number goes up to 79,675 with weekly Milan and Sangh Mandlis. The youth under 45 years of age make up 90 percent of the attendees at these meetings while 53 percent of these attendees are students. In the past one year, 1,04,256 Swayamsevaks attended the Prathamik Shiksha Varg (the seven-day training course) which is the first step towards shaping of a Swayamsevak as a more committed and dedicated volunteer, he said.
In the press briefing, Brig Suchet Singh informed that RSS, at its recently held Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) in Coimbatore, discussed increasing presence of Jihadi elements in West Bengal and passed a resolution expressing grave concern over the rise in violence there due to the policy of vote bank appeasement followed by the State Government and the shrinking Hindu population in that State.
“The ABPS has strongly condemned the extremist violence and the appeasement policy of State Government and has called upon the countrymen to create awareness against this Jehadi violence and communal politics of West Bengal Government,” he said.
