Around 40,000 students appearing in class 12th exams

JAMMU, Mar 6: Annual examinations of Class 12 (regular) in Summer Zone of Jammu province, began today.
The  State Board of School Education (BOSE) has constituted  380 examination centres where about forty thousand students are appearing.
To ensure fair and smooth conduct of the exams, the BOSE has constituted several Inspection teams at the Division level as well as the District level. Besides, the teams of Chief Education Officers, Dy CEOs and DEPOs have also been constituted for proper check.
The Director School Education Jammu,  Simrandeep Singh visited several examination centres and inspected the arrangements made for examinations. Secretary BOSE, Prof Veena Pandita along with her team, also made surprise visit at various centres to take stock of the arrangements.
This is for the first that BOSE is conducting all the regular examinations in Summer as well as Winter zone of class 10th and 12th simultaneously in both the divisions due to recent devastating floods in the State.
In Winter Zone, BOSE has constituted 128 examination centres where 12,481 students of class 12th are appearing.
