JAMMU, July 31: BJP MLC Adv. Ramesh Arora met with Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Sanjeev Varma here, today and discussed the progress made by the administration on removal of encroachments from State land.
After discussing the issue, Arora said that it is indeed a good step and the administration needs to be serious in this regard. The State land has been encroached by land grabbers, which includes the land of Flood Control and Irrigation Department, Forest land, Agriculture land, JDA land etc.
Arora was assured by Divisional Commissioner that as per the directions and guidelines of the Governor the State is committed to get back encroached land from land encorachers and various steps are being initiated in this regard.
Arora said that public in general will extend full support to this move and will appreciate every step being taken by the Government against the land mafia. He further said that he has taken this issue on priority basis and wanted that administration must act with full force because there are many hindrances being created by influential politicians supporting land grabbers.
