Army School students excels in UN Debate

UDHAMPUR, May 5: Six students of Army Public School Udhampur represented the Indian International Model United Nation (IIMUN) held at Jammu recently.
The aim of conducting such academic event was to bring awareness amongst the students on functioning of United Nation.
The students from various schools participated in Mock UN assembly as per the country allotted to them.
Each delegate debated on the issues related to their countries in depth and probable solutions were charted out at the end. Approximately 300 delegates from all over Jammu and Kashmir participated.
Master Angad Chatha of class XI bagged the best delegate award, Vasupriya Awasthi of XI got the special mention award and rest of the four delegates namely Shrishti Jha of X, Umang Randhawa of XII, Harman Deol of XI and Anish Sundram of XI got verbal mention award.
Applauding the efforts and guidance of the delegates and their mentor Rajeshwari Rajmohan, the Principal APS Udhampur, Sanjeev Kumar appreciated  the participants for bringing laurels to the school and encouraged the other  students to take part in such international events in the future.
