BARAMULLA: A porter working with 4 Madras Regiment was killed when he was hit by a snow slide near the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector Friday afternoon, official sources said.
They said 22-year-old Shakeel Ahmad, son of Feroz Ahmad was critically wounded when a snow slide hit him at Pinkdi Chowk near LoC in Uri, where he was clearing snow. However, rescue operation was immediately launched and Shakeel, resident of Ajgar Nawa Uri was shifted to hospital where he was declared brought dead. (AGENCIES)
