Army organizes medical camp

SRINAGAR, Nov 29:  Lachhipura Battalion alongwith Health Department organized a day long medical camp at Lachhipura Government School in Baramulla providing free health check-up and remedial treatment to ameliorate the medical and health issues of people residing in the remote villages.
A statement issued by Army said that a total of 334 villagers, including 162 male, 137 female and 35 children availed the facilities set up by the Army in medical camp. “Doctors and specialist from the Army and civil administration provided treatment to patients at the medical camp which was organised with the objective of providing medical aid to people from far flung areas”, the statement adds.
“Free medicines, on the site specialist support, medical checkups and advise was provided to the residents. 21 doctors including 8 specialists from the Health Department and Regimental Medical Officers extended medical support to the patients. People turned up in large numbers at the med camp to avail the services offered by the specialised doctors of the army as well as Health Department”, reads the statement.
The statement said that all medical facilities including medical specialists, surgical specialists, eye specialists, ENT (ear-nose-throat) specialists and dental surgeons were provided at the camp.
