Army organizes medical camp

Srinagar, Jan 2: Army today said it organized a free medical camp in remote Devsar area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A defence spokesman said a team of seven doctors inclusive of five doctors from civil administration and an army lady doctor conducted the camp. “The doctors also delivered lectures on health education issues such as personal hygiene, nutrition, small family norms, maternal and child care”, he added.
“Locals were also educated on the preventive measures against various diseases. Over 700 people from adjoining areas were benefited including elders and children. This initiative with assistance acted as a catalyst towards the ongoing peace building process in the region,” the defence spokesman added.
