BHADERWAH, Nov 29: To promote and motivate the participation in sports among rural youth especially girls, Rashtriya Rifles (RR) based at Bhaderwah organised 2-days Girls Kho-Kho Tournament, final of which was played at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, here.
Nine teams under two categories of 17 and 14 from different schools of Bhaderwah zone participated in the 2-day tournament.
On the occasion Principal Annie Kotwal was the chief guest while NCC Office Arif Rana was the guest of honour.
In U-14 category, High School(HS) Manthla defeated Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Bhaderwah while in U-17 category, Akhtar Public School (APS) Bhaderwah defeated KV Bhaderwah.
Both winner teams were presented with winners Trophy along with Medals while runner-ups were also presented with Trophy and Medals by the dignitaries present in the closing ceremony.
Beside Army Officers and School Administration present during the match and award ceremony included Principal Annie Kotwal, PEM Aneeta Manhas and Principal APS Bhaderwah Sudesh Manhas.
