JAMMU, Nov 8: The Sabre Brigade of the Rising Star Corps, in close coordination with the village Administration and Army Recruiting Office Jammu, organized a ‘Know your Army’ Exhibition and Recruitment Awareness Drive at Ratnuchak.
The event was an endeavour by the Army to inspire the youth to join Indian Army. Commander Sabre Brigade along with the officers and village Sarpanches were in attendance.
The event provided the much needed launch pad to the talented youth on various opportunities available to join the Indian Army as a career. The highlight of the event was lectures on various policies and procedures to join Indian Army, and elaborate equipment display and a stall by Army Recruiting Office Jammu, distributing awareness pamphlets to the youth.
In the camp, there was good attendance of youth in the age group of 16 to 22 years. The Army took special care to cater for transportation of the youth from distant villages to the event location. The event culminated with the Commander interacting with the youth and motivating them for Nation building and security.
The people expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for the awareness drive and the popular sentiment was in appreciation of the Army’s selfless service to the nation and addressing the popular aspirations of the locals. People expressed the desire to have more events of similar nature in future.
