SRINAGAR, Oct 5: Taking a step towards providing opportunities to young minds for a better all round development, Army camp based at Uplona area of Baramulla district organized two days long inter-school debate and drawing competitions, which concluded today.
Both the events were organized in junior and senior categories in which 40 schools participated and competed for the top honours, an Army official said.
At the end, it was Sanctorum Public School Sopore and SRM Welkin Sopore who were crowned best school in junior and senior categories of debate respectively.
“Approximately 1100 students and 45 teachers from 40 different schools witnessed the event which kicked off with scintillating performances by local talents”, he said.
The event culminated with prize distribution ceremony and distribution of four motorized wheel chair to handicapped persons of the Baramula area, the official added.
