SRINAGAR, Apr 7: Army organized a career counseling workshop for the students of the Youth Centre and the Women Empowerment Centre (WEC) at Qasba Nagam.
An Army spokesman said the workshop was organized workshop to make them aware about various career prospects and also to motivate other students to join these institutes for a brighter future.
He said the youth centre and the Women Empowerment Centre (WEC) were established with a vision to impart educational and vocational training to the locals of the area so as to develop career oriented skills among them.
“The institutes have been instrumental in empowering the youth of the area and providing them a platform for various employment opportunities in IT and Garment industries. Presently, 95 students at the Youth Centre and 15 women at WEC are undergoing training in various courses,” he said.
