MENDHAR, Sept 19: Indian Army organised Inter Tehsil Football Competition, here today.
Three days league match was organised to foster team spirit among the youth of the district.
The teams of four tehsils of district Poonch namely Mendhar, Haveli, Surankot and Mandi participated in the Competition.
Final match was played between teams of Surankot and Haveli. The team of Haveli won the competition by seven goals to nil (7 – 0). The teams were awarded trophy and cash prize by the chief guest and the other dignitaries on the occasion.
The main aim of this competition was to prepare football team of district Poonch, which will play at District level match being organised in Mendhar in the month of October.
The youth convey their greetings to Army for conduct of well organised matches in these areas.
