SRINAGAR, Aug 20: In an endeavour to engage with the youth and to integrate them with the main stream, army today kick-started an Under 19, T-20 Cricket in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
The tournament will be held from 20th to 29th August in association with Department of Youth Services and sports Pulwama.
At least 10 teams will participate in the tournament and all the matches will be played at DPL Pulwama.
An army spokesperson said that the fist match of the tournament was played today between Good Shephard School Pulwama and Haj Ahad Awantipora.
“The match witnessed a splendid and true spirit of sportsmanship from both the teams with team Good Shephard School emerging as the winners,” he said.
He added that post match a healthy and informal Interaction.
