Srinagar, Aug 8: An Army officer slipped and rolled down into a deep gorge near Line of Control (LoC) in Gurez area of Bandipora district today.
Army’s 36 RR had launched massive searches in the forest area of Koragbal close to the LoC last night.
An army Captain Prem Kumar slipped and rolled down into a deep gorge this morning. He was shifted to nearby hospital with grievous injures where from he was later airlifted to 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar. However, the officer, succumbed to injuries.
Meanwhile, search operation in the area was going on following inputs about the presence of some suspicious movement, he added.
