JAMMU: An Army jawan today attained martyrdom as Pakistan resorted to unprovoked firing on the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
”Pakistan Army this evening at around 1700 hrs initiated unprovoked firing on Indian Army posts in Krishna Ghati sector,” defence spokesman here said.
He said that Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively to the cross border firing. ”In the exchange of fire, Naib Subedar Jagram Singh Tomar was grievously injured and later succumbed to his injuries,” he said. (AGENCIES)
