JAMMU, June 29: An Army personnel allegedly died today due to electrocution at 92 Brigade, 527/ASC Battalion in Bari Brahmana area o city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, Sepoy Rangnath Rai (Service No- 6494231L ) of Gazipur in Uttar Pradesh, who was posted at 223/ASC Battalion, this morning died due to electrocution at 92 Brigade, 527/ASC Battalion based at Bari-Brahmana. However, it was not clear how and in which condition he got electric shock.
The dead body of the deceased was handed over to Army authorities after completing legal formalities and conducting post mortem at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at police station Bari-Brahmana and investigations started.
