Army holds pre-recruitment training camp

Srinagar, Feb 21: Army today said it conducted a pre-recruitment training camp in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A defence spokesman said that in continuation with the outreach programmes in the Kashmir valley through various activities for youth, a pre-recruitment training capsule was conducted by Imam Sahib Army Camp for the youths with an aim to guide and prepare them for facing recruitment drives which was attended by a good number of youth from the area.
“A pre test and medical examination was conducted and details were noted to make the candidates aware of their present level of preparedness and the areas they needed to focus and improve upon. The aspirants were provided with information regarding different stages of recruitment including documentation, physical fitness standards and medical parameters.
“Demonstration on correct way of attempting physical tests was also conducted for them. They were also taught about the different exercises to help them improve their physical fitness standards. Appreciative of this timely guidance and assistance, the youth felt they stood a better chance of succeeding in the forthcoming recruitment rally in April,” the defence spokesman added.
