Srinagar, Feb 18: On demand from youth to gain knowledge on the recruitment process and preparatory model for the upcoming recruitment drive, the Army today said it conducted an awareness-cum-counseling camp at Pohru and adjoining villages of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, a defence spokesman said here.
The spokesman said the camp was attended by over 50 youth and it was an initiative to encourage the youth and inform them about the criteria required for entry into security services. “A Whats App group was also created to share information about important dates and locations related to recruitment rally (scheduled to be organized on April 17),” he said.
The spokesman said according to the aspirants, it was a good opportunity to interact and clarify their queries about the army way of life as well. A similar camp has been planned just before the actual rally during which a mock test will also be conducted to prepare the youth better, the defence spokesman added.
