Army displays weapons, war equipments to students

JAMMU, Aug 11: To instill a sense of patriotism among the youth, Army conducted two-day weapon and equipment display programme in the ground of of Jammu University (JU).

The event was conducted by the Tiger Division to showcase the massive capabilities of Indian Army. The display was aimed at “Know Your Army” concept and motivating local youth of the region to join Army as a profession and highlighting the contribution of the organization in Nation building.
The weapon and equipment display was spread over the last two days presenting a wide range of small arms, Artillery Guns, Armoured vehicles, communication setup and other specialist equipment. The display kindled patriotic fervor and pride amongst the youth and went a long way towards educating them about the most capable and relevant instruments of comprehensive ‘National Power’.
Approximately 7000 people including school students and staff from across Jammu and 300 NCC cadets attended the display. A counseling centre was also established to inform students of various entry schemes to join Indian Army and various pamphlets and posters bearing such information were distributed among them.
