JAMMU, July 28: A week-long Inter-Village Volleyball Championship concluded today at Kalal with Mangiote village team emerging as the champions.
The competition was conducted on league-cum-knockout basis and organized by Rashtriya Rifles located at Kalal under the Reasi based Rashtriya Rifles Force.
The motive to conduct the Championship was to provide a platform and give fillip to the youth to showcase their sporting talent and motivate them to nurture skills.
The event encouraged the youth to hone their talent in volleyball, team bonding, healthy competitive spirit and increase bonhomie amongst them.
The competition was organized for all the six Panchayats falling in the area of responsibility of the unit, wherein teams participated with zeal and enthusiasm. All the participating teams were given complimentary gifts and the winning team was given individual medals and best team trophy for its splendid performance.
