Army Chief reviews operational preparedness on western border

NEW DELHI: Amid unprovoked and continued ceasefire violations on the northern border with Pakistan, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Bipin Rawat on Saturday visited Western Command Headquarters and reviewed the operational preparedness along our western borders, an official statement said.

During his visit, the Western Army Commander, Lieutenant General Surender Singh briefed and updated the Army Chief on the current operational situation, prevailing security environment and preparedness of the formations, especially in Amritsar and Samba Sectors. (AGENCIES)
