JAMMU, Apr 7: All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) has strongly condemned the State Government for its casual approach towards passage of Hindu Temples and Shrines Bill in State Assembly which it sent to Select Committee thus delaying it further.
In a statement issued here King C Bharati, national spokesperson of APMCC said that the organisation has taken strong note of the attitude of the Government for its casual approach towards Kashmiri Pandits which was evident from the fact that even four years after its introduction, the Bill was not passed when taken for consideration and referred tot to Select Committee.
Bharati said that APMCC held a meeting of its Executive Committee here today under the chairmanship of Vinod Pandit where the 6-point charter of demands of APMCC were discussed threadbare and the commitment of the Government after requesting Vinod Pandit to end his 15-day long fast unto death at Porbandar, Gujarat recently.
Bharati said that the delay in passing of the Bill has sent clear signal that State Government was taking Kashmiri Pandits for granted.
Maintaining that Temple Bill was an important issue for the community as well as one of the major points in their 6-point charter of demands, he said that APMCC Chairman Vinod Pandit would launch 3rd fast unto death agitation in Kashmir if the Government fails to honour its commitment of resolving 6-point charter of demands within two months.

The community had several times apprised the ministers about the dilapidated condition of Hindu religious places in Valley and stressed on passage of the Bill for their protection and management. But to please some politicians and business community members who have taken control of some shrines in the Valley.
It however hailed the role of M Y Tarigami, NPP MLAs and Ashwani Sharma for their positive role on the Bill.
Hindu Welfare Society Kashmir while criticizing the Government for sabotaging the Bill said alliance partners played a drama with the sentiments of the community by sending the Bill to SC.
In a statement issued here today the Society said that after 65 years the ruling alliance came into its true colors and its claims on secularism are totally hollow. It took strong objection to remarks of some NC members about the Bill and said the Government should have since long passed the Bill in view of the dilapidated condition of shrines whose land has been encroached and some of the shrines were razed to ground by anti social elements.
