JAMMU, July 24: All Parties Migrant Coordination Comm-ittee (APMCC) and migrant employees held a protest demonstration here, today against non payment of salaries to the migrant employees posted in Valley.
The protestors raising slogans against the Government demanded release of salaries to Valley posted KP employees.
The employees were protesting against the callous and biased attitude of some of the DDOs and HoDs who have refused to implement the Government order to release their salaries indicating the communal mindset of the administration.

Addressing the protesters, the APMCC chairman, Vinod Pandit and its national spokesman, King C Bharti said that they have written open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with copies to Union Home Minister Raj Nath Singh, Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti seeking guarantee for fool proof security to migrant employees working in Kashmir valley before re-joining their duties.
They said the letter was sent to Prime Minister through Relief and Rehabilitation Commiss-ioner, M L Raina stating the reasons for leaving the Valley in July 2016 and the threat perception after they join the duties again.
Pandit in a handout issued to press said that Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner later visited to the venue of protest also and assured the employees that their genuine concerns would be brought to the notice of higher ups besides dispatching their open letter to the Prime Minister and other dignitaries.
The letter has highlighted 10 points which were responsible for creating the feeling of insecurity among the employees. It demanded that either clear instruction be given for release of salaries of the employees or they be given written guarantee of safety, security and dignity if they are forced to resume their duties at this juncture.
The letter while appreciating the steps taken by Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, MoS Education Priya Sethi,  and Chief Secretary, B B Vyas regretted that the local administration and some officers were deliberately flouting the Government orders to  harass the migrant employees.
Addressing the protesters Vinod Pandit blamed the communal mind set of some of the officers for ignoring the directions of the Government that the salaries should be released and sought the immediate intervention of Prime Minister.
